Cairns Airport has been named the busiest in Australia as tourists flock to the Far North. Staff claim that planes travelling from Brisbane to Cairns have been full - a good sign of economic recovery.

News this week that the Brisbane to Cairns route is now the busiest in the country.

From the beginning of September, Cairns Airport will also see:
✈️ The return of 11 x Gold Coast flights and 2 x Darwin flights with Jetstar Australia.
✈️ Jetstar have also increased flights to Adelaide to 6 x services a week, then daily from September 1.
✈️ Airnorth are also operating 5 x flights a week from Cairns to Darwin.

Mt Mulligan update as requested with some more historical photos of the cemetery near the turnoff to Tyrconnell Goldmine - this place in history is about half way between Dimbulah and Mt Mulligan. Enormous sense of history here and isolation but in fact was a vibrant township at the turn of the last century.
